OSU Gmail - Setup Gmail on iPhone or iPad

Environment

• Oregon State University
• Student
• ONID Account
• OSU Gmail
• iOS Device (iPhone, iPad) 

Explanation

You can use the built-in Mail app, or the Gmail app to access OSU Gmail on an iOS device. 

Resolution

Method 1 - Built-in Mac Mail App

1. Open the "Settings" app
2. Select "Passwords & Accounts"
3. Select "Add Account"
4. Select "Google"
5. In the "Email or phone" box enter your username@oregonstate.edu and click "Next"
6. If you see a screen that says "Your Google Account is managed by oregonstate.edu"; click "Accept"
7. Sign in on the Oregon State University login page with your username and password
   
   • You will need to Duo auth when prompted
8. You can now access your OSU Gmail account in the Mail app.

Method 2 - Gmail App

1. Install the Gmail app from the App Store
2. Open the Gmail app
3. Select "Sign In"
4. Select "+ Add account"
5. Enter your username@oregonstate.edu email address
6. You may see a screen that says "Your Google Account is managed by oregonstate.edu"; click "Accept"
7. Sign in on the Oregon State University login page with your username and password
   
   • You will need to Duo auth when prompted
8. Select "Done"
9. You can now access your OSU Gmail via the Gmail app.
