MS Bookings - "We couldn't find a mailbox for this recipient"

Issue/Question

  • I can't login to Microsoft Bookings. I receive the error "Something went wrong. We couldn't find a mailbox for this recipient. Either they don't have a mailbox or don't have a license assigned."

Environment

  • Oregon State University
  • Employee
  • Microsoft Bookings

Cause/Explanation

Microsoft Bookings requires an Exchange Online mailbox. People who only have Gmail will not be able to use all of the features of Bookings.

Please note that only employees are licensed for Bookings. To use Bookings, a person must both be an employee and have an Exchange Online mailbox. 

Resolution

Contact your IT support team or the Service Desk to request an Exchange Online mailbox.
