MS Bookings - "We couldn't find a mailbox for this recipient"

Issue/Question

  • I can't login to Microsoft Bookings. I receive the error "Something went wrong. We couldn't find a mailbox for this recipient. Either they don't have a mailbox or don't have a license assigned."

Cause/Explanation

Microsoft Bookings requires an Exchange Online mailbox. All employees (and some graduate students) are eligible to receive an Exchange mailbox, but some may be using Gmail or Unix mail at OSU instead.

Please note that only employees are licensed for Bookings. To use Bookings, a person must both be an employee and have an Exchange Online mailbox. 

Resolution

Contact your IT support team or the Service Desk to request an Exchange Online mailbox.
