Citrix Apps - Installing Custom Packages in Stata

Explanation

When installing a package on Stata using Citrix, it will not allow you to install it because it defaults to a location that the user doesn't have rights to. 

Resolution

Method 1

1. You will need to change the system directory for Stata on Citrix for packages so it can install a package to a location where you have access to. 
   1. You can use this command to change the package data directory: "sysdir set PLUS \\onid-fs.onid.oregonstate.edu\{ONID username here}\Profile\datapackage" (make sure to remove the {} brackets after filling in your username)
2. After you have set the directory, you can run the installation command using this command: "ssc install {Package Name}.pkg" (make sure to remove the {} brackets after filling in the package name)
