Kaltura - Schedule the publication of your media

Overview

Kaltura is Oregon State University's video platform. Kaltura allows you to choose a time for your content to be published. The default setting is for your content to be available at any time, but using scheduling will create a specific time range during which your content will be visible to others.

Issue/Question

• How do I configure my media so that it's only available for a given period of time?

Resolution

1. Visit My Media in either Canvas or MediaSpace
2. Click the Edit button (the pencil at the right of the corresponding video) for the desired media
3. Click on the Details tab
4. Scroll below the Name, Description, and Tags sections to the Publishing Schedule
5. Select "Specific Time Frame" and choose your Start Time and End Time to define the period in which you'd like your media to appear
   
    
6. Click Save
