Beaver Basecamp

Beaver Basecamp accounts are used for the student Admissions process. Note that after you are admitted you will receive an ONID account to login to most OSU services (see below).

ONID Accounts

The ONID account is the main account used to login to most OSU services. An ONID account is provided for all current students, employees, and associates. Some individuals may also have a sponsored ONID account.

ONID account passwords can only be changed on the ONID website at onid.oregonstate.edu. ONID accounts must be activated before you can login. Activation sets the initial password. If your ONID password expires, you can reset it by providing the old password. If you have forgotten it, you will need to send a reset PIN to your account recovery contact. If you do not have an account recovery contact set, you will need to contact the Service Desk for help.

Non-ONID Active Directory Accounts

Non-ONID Active Directory ("AD") accounts are often used for student employees, external people who are not eligible for ONID (such as interns, volunteers, and contractors), service accounts, and administrative accounts. To reset the password for a non-ONID AD account, you need to use Microsoft tools.

IT Pros can change a non-ONID AD password using Active Directory Users & Computers.
