Exchange Online - Sign In via Web Browser

  • How do I sign into my Exchange Online email via a web browser?

Explanation

Outlook Web App is an easy way to access your Exchange email from anywhere without needing to set up the Outlook client software.

Resolution

  1. Go to http://outlook.com/owa/oregonstate.edu.
  2. Enter your ONIDusername@oregonstate.edu or se-username@oregonstate.edu (Student Employee account) and click NextShows username@oregonstate.edu in the sign in box.
  3. You will be taken to an OSU-based login page. Enter your ONIDusername@oregonstate.edu or se-username@oregonstate.edu again, and enter your password. Microsoft Federation Services window with username and password entered.
  4.  If this is your first time logging in, you may be asked if you would like to stay signed in, along with your time zone preferences. Select the options you're most comfortable with.

Notes

If you receive a "Something went wrong" error message upon attempting to sign in, you likely have not been migrated to Exchange Online yet. If you are positive that you should have been migrated over, there might be something wrong with your account. Please call the Service Desk at 541-737-8787.

Troubleshooting

If you hare a slow connection or a lot of mail, the mail may be slow to update. In this case, please use the Exchange Online Light version - https://outlook.office.com/owa/?layout=light
