Duo - Request Opt-out

Resolution

Duo opt-out is no longer available.

Requests for exceptions to this policy may be submitted to the Service Desk and will be reviewed by the Duo Support team.

Alternatives to opting out:

• If you often forget your cell phone, enroll another device such as a security key or a tablet.
• Purchase a security key to use with Duo. They are available online for around $25. Departments may provide employees with security keys.
• Enable the 12 hour "remember me" feature to avoid having to Duo auth again in the same day.
• If your cell phone does not have good wifi or cell coverage, use a passcode from your phone.
• If you run low on battery, generate a temporary code at http://duo.oregonstate.edu that is good for 24 hours.
