Some employees don't appear on their supervisors' "insight" page

Cause/Explanation

Supervisors have a tab called "Insight" in Bridge. This page allows supervisors to see their direct-reports' training progress. Sometimes, however, some supervisors don't see all of their direct reports listed on the "Insight" page.

This is a known issue to some supervisor/managers, and the cause for this is that Bridge only allows one supervisor per employee. Because of this, if an employee has multiple jobs on campus (such as some student workers) or if an employee has a split appointment (such as some faculty and staff), only one "primary"supervisor is listed for these appointments. 

For students, typically the first job they get hired into is considered primary, thus the supervisor for this primary job is the primary supervisor. If additional jobs are added, they are considered "secondary." When the "primary" job terminates, another job is supposed to be marked as "primary." 

For faculty and staff, the job that the employee considers to be their "primary job" is typically with higher FET or a higher pay rate. 

Allowing multiple managers per employee is a feature that is currently in development by Bridge. 

Resolution

If you are a supervisor, the direct report(s) you are looking for is not showing on your Insight page, here is what you can do to find the training record of the employee(s)

Method 1

  1. If the course doesn't have a certificate, you can have the employee making a screenshot of their "my learning page" where it listed all the completed training courses
  2. If the course has a certificate, you can ask the employee send you a copy of the certificate.

  1. You can email bridge.support@oregonstate.edu and request for training record
