Issue/Question
Monitors plugged into a docking station do not wake when the computer comes out of sleep mode.
Monitors will appear as generic PNP monitors in Device Manager and show up in Display Settings.
Environment
Windows 10
Cause/Explanation
The cause is currently unknown.
Work around
Method 1
Enter Display Settings
Under Multiple Displays change to Duplicate Monitors 1 and 2
Return to Multiple Displays and chose extend displays.
Repeat for each display.
Method 2
Open Device Manager.
Find and expand the Mouse drop down menu and click on the Mouse.
Click Properties, select Power Management Tab.
Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power".
Check "Allow the device to wake the computer".
Do the same for the keyboard. If you still can't wake up the PC, then go to Human Interface Devices and check the "Allow this device to wake the computer" for every USB port.
