Resolution

Before a Meeting or Class

  1. Latest version – Ensure your Zoom application is up-to-date.

  2. Disable VPN – Running VPN during a meeting can cause significant connection issues.

  3. Close unused programs – Running multiple programs can cause your computer to slow down and experience audio/video issues.

  4. Wired connection – If possible, a wired internet connection will generally provide a better connection than wireless.

  5. Wired headset – For the best audio, use a wired headset.

Troubleshooting During a Meeting or Class

  1. Ensure all participants have VPN disconnected.

  2. Have participants check CPU usage - https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/202920719-Accessing-meeting-and-phone-statistics#h_dd5a3ef9-4857-4aad-b445-4dc7d52f7dce

  3. Unstable Audio/Video - Before doing anything, wait 15 seconds. The computer may be temporarily stalling and may resolve itself. If issues persist, have the participant try to leave the meeting and rejoin. Before doing so, make sure all applications that you are not using are closed.
