Outlook - Delay Delivery of an Email Message

Known Issues

This feature only works on Windows as Mac is not currently supported.

Resolution

  1. When composing a new email, select "More Options" under the "Tags" group
  2. In the delivery options section, select the "Do not deliver before" checkbox.
  3. Specify when the message should be sent.
  4. Click close.
  5. After the message has been finished, click send.
    NOTE: Messages pending to be sent later will stay in the Outbox folder until the specified time.

 

If the delayed message needs to be sent earlier:

  1. Go to the Outbox folder.
  2. Open the message scheduled to be sent later.
  3. Select "More Options" under "Tags".
  4. Under "Delivery Options", uncheck the "Do not deliver before" check box or specify a new time and date.
  5. Click close.
  6. Click send.
