How to compress a folder

Resolution

Using Windows:

If you do not have 7zip you will need to use Windows' built-in folder compression feature. This can be done by:

1. Right-clicking The Folder you would like to share
2. Left clicking the Send to option
3. Left clicking the Compressed (zipped) folder option
   
4. You should now have a file with the same name as the folder you would like to share with the extension .zip
   

Using 7zip:

If you have 7zip installed, you can instead use 7zip's compression functionality by:

1. Right-clicking The Folder you would like to share
2. Left-clicking the 7-Zip option
3. Left-clicking the Add to "<folder name>" option​​​​​​​
   
4. You should now have a file with the same name as the folder you would like to share with the extension 
   .7z
   ​​​​​​​
