Zoom - Disable "Your meeting attendees are waiting!" Email Notification

Issue/Question

• Can I turn off the Zoom email notification that I get called "Your Meeting attendees are waiting!"?

Cause/Explanation

If a user schedules a Zoom meeting and has "Join Before Host" turned on, it will allow people to join the meeting, prior to the host. When this happens, by default the host of the meeting gets an email notification with a subject of "Your meeting attendees are waiting!" This email notification can be turned off on the user's profile level. This KnowledgeBase article will help turn off those email notifications. 

Resolution

Method 1

1. Log in at https://is.oregonstate.edu/zoom
2. Select Settings (from the menu on left)
3. Click or Scroll down to Email Notifications
   
4. Locate the setting called "When attendees join meeting before host"
5. Click the switch from BLUE (enabled) to GREY (disabled)
