Explanation

When new employees start at OSU, they are automatically setup with an Exchange mailbox and an email address of username@oregonstate.edu. Employees can then ask their IT team to add a first.last@oregonstate.edu alias to their mailbox.

Undergraduate students cannot request a first.last@oregonstate.edu email address. Their email address will be username@oregonstate.edu.

Resolution

To get a first.last@oregonstate.edu Exchange mailbox:

• For departments supported by Customer Experience, the employee supervisor or LRP should submit the New Employee Account Setup form. The Service Desk will create the first.last email address.
• For all other departments, please contact your IT support team to set up a first.last email alias.
