Voicemail - Update/Reset your Security Code (PIN)

Question

  • How do I change my voicemail security code (PIN)?

  • AVST Voicemail

Resolution

Methods 1 and 2 assume that you know your current security code. Method 3 assumes you have a voicemail/email integrated account.  For voicemail only accounts, if you have forgotten or are having an issue with your security code, please contact Telecom at 541-713-3440 to have it reset.

Method 1: Use the Web PhoneManager

  1. Open a web browser and go to https://wpm.voicemail.oregonstate.edu/ 
  2. Enter your 5 digit extension and current security code to login
  3. Click on Personal Settings
  4. Select the Security Code tab
  5. Enter your Current security code again
  6. Enter your new security code twice to confirm and click OK to save

Method 2: Use the Telephone User Interface

  1. From your office phone, dial your campus’ voicemail number:
    • Corvallis: 541-737-7111
    • Cascades: 541-322-3199
    • Newport: 541-867-0333
    • Portland: 503-273-4499
  2. Enter your current security code when prompted
  3. Press 3 to set user options
  4. Press 1 for personal options
  5. Press 4 to change your security code
  6. Follow the system prompts

Method 3: Use the Web PhoneManager

  1. Open a web browser and go to https://wpm.voicemail.oregonstate.edu/ 
  2. Click on the "Forgot Security Code?" link at the bottom of the login dialog.
  3. Enter your 5-digit extension number or email address in the appropriate field of the "Security Code Reset Request" dialog then click "OK" to submit.
  4. If successful you will see an "Email Sent" notification page.  It will take a few minutes for your email to show up in your email inbox.
  5. Once the email arrives follow the instruction using the included link to reset your security code.  Please remember you have 10 minutes to complete the process.
