Outlook - Publishing your Exchange Calendar

Explanation:

If you have an Microsoft Outlook Exchange account and would like that associated calendar to be in sync with your Google calendar, please read the following step-by-step guide.

Requirements:

  • Have a exchange account
  • Have a Google account
  • Have a computer
  • Have a connection to the internet

Steps:

  1. Navigate to https://exmail.oregonstate.edu/owa (Windows users can just open Microsoft Outlook).
  2. Click on Calendar in the lower left corner.
  3. You should see all your calendars in front of you. On the left side of the window, you should see the list of calendars and their names. Under My Calendars, right click the one you wish to add to your Google account.
  4. After right clicking your chosen calendar, right click, go Share > Publish This Calendar (Publish This Calendar to the Internet).
  5. A new window will pop up. Select the options which best suit you. 
  6. When complete, press Start Publishing in the lower right corner.
  7. A couple of urls will show up for you to copy. Find the one that ends in .ics and copy the whole url.
  8. Go to your Google Calendar.
  9. When logged in to view your calendar, find Add a coworker's calendar on the left side of the window.
  10. Click the + next to Add a coworker's calendar.
  11. Click From URL.
  12. This will bring you to a settings menu. In this menu, you want paste the .ics URL from your Outlook here.
  13. Press Add Calendar in the bottom right corner.
