Cause/Explanation
Bookings has 3 different access levels for staff (learn more here).
A user will need to have "administrator" access permissions set for the Bookings Calendar they are trying to cancel an appointment on in order for it to work.
If someone can log in to Bookings but cannot cancel appointments, they are likely assigned "Viewer" access.
Resolution
Method 1; Ask an Administator on your calendar to give you Administrator access, too
Directions the current Administrator would need to go through to give you Administator access:
- From the MS Bookings webpage for your calendar, they would select the "Staff" tab on the left-side menu
- Click on your name to open your staff settings
- Click in the text box for the access level, and change it to Administator
- Select Save
Method 2; If you cannot receive Administrator access yourself, ask an Administator to cancel the appointment for you
