Windows 10 - Changing Monitor Resolution

How do I change my monitor resolution?

Environment

• Oregon State
  • Windows 10

Cause

There maybe instances where the resolution for a monitor needs or wants to be changed.

Resolution

1. Open the Start Menu 
   
2. Start typing to search for Display Settings and select from the search results
   
    
3. Select the monitor which needs its resolution adjusted. Marked as 1 on the image below.
   • If you only have one monitor it will be the only one available to change.
4. Open the Resolution menu. Marked as 2 on the image below.
   
    
5. Select the desired monitor resolution from the Resolution menu.
   
    
6. Your monitor will flicker for a second as the changes are made. If the resolution looks to be correct select Keep Changes.
