How do I add additional fonts to Windows?

Cause

When working on a project you may find that you need a font that is not included on your computer.

Resolution

  1. Locate the font file that you have obtained. (This usually takes the form of a .zip file).
  2. Extract the files from the .zip file containing the fonts.
    This can be done by right clicking the zip file and selecting an "Extract" option 
  3. Open Control Panel.
  4. Navigate to Fonts (Labeled as 1 in the picture below).
  5. Drag your font files into the menu below.
  6. Provide your administrative credentials to finish adding the fonts to your device.
