This article covers the basics of using OneDrive, a part of the Microsoft 365 suite.

OneDrive is a cloud-based file storage and collaboration tool available to all current OSU students and employees. It is accessible via the web, or via an application on Macs, Windows, Linux, and mobile devices.


How to Sign in to OneDrive on the Web

  1. Visit and choose "Login to Office 365" (for help signing into Office 365, see Sign in to Office 365 Online)
  2. Once logged in select the app launcher in the upper left corner:

How to Access OneDrive Files from My Computer

To access files stored in the cloud on OneDrive from your computer or mobile device, you will want to install the OneDrive app. If you have Microsoft Office already installed on your computer, OneDrive is likely already installed as well.

If you need to install OneDrive:

  1. Visit and choose "Login to Office 365"
  2. On the upper-right, select "Install apps"
  3. Select "Microsoft 365 apps"
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Microsoft 365 apps
