Issue/Question
- I'm a MECOP student and can login to Microsoft 365; why can't I install Office apps?
Environment
- Oregon State University
- MECOP Student
- Microsoft 365, Office 365
Cause
Only students who are currently enrolled in classes at OSU get access to Microsoft 365 Apps. Because MECOP students are not usually enrolled for classes, they are not eligible for Microsoft 365 Apps.
Resolution
Method 1 - Use Office Online Apps
You can continue to use the Office Online apps through a web browser.
Method 2 - Use Citrix Apps
All of the Office apps are available online via Citrix Apps at: https://apps.oregonstate.edu
Method 3 - Request Temporary Access
MECOP students may contact the Service Desk to request a temporary Microsoft 365 Apps license. The Service Desk will escalate the request to the Office 365 team for review.
