Kaltura: Playlists

Playlists allow you to group content together for embedding on an external web page. Every time you add or remove an item from a playlist, your embedded player automatically updates to reflect this change.

Issue/Question

  • How do I create/delete a playlist?
  • How do I add media to my playlist?

Resolution

Navigate to My Media in MediaSpace

Creating a Playlist

  1. Select the media that you would like to start the playlist with
  2. Click the "Actions" drop-down menu, then select "Add to Playlists" tab 
  3. Click "Create New Playlist" to create a Playlist
  4. Enter a name and description
  5. Click Create New Playlist

Adding Media to a Playlist

  1. Select the media that you would like to add to the playlist
  2. Click the "Actions" drop-down menu, then select "Add to Playlists" tab 
  3. Click the checkbox next to the Playlist to which you would like to add the media
  4. Click Apply

Deleting a Playlist

  1. Go to "My Playlists"
  2. Click the trash can next to the Playlist you want to delete
  3. Click OK to confirm
