License Restrictions
Available for OSU faculty, staff and students on institutional devices or computers for use in education and non-commercial research.
Please Note: X-Tools is NOT allowed on student-owned devices.
Resolution
If installing from off campus, make sure to connect to the VPN before proceeding.
Windows
- Navigate to \\software.oregonstate.edu\software\X-Tools

- Find the _XTools Pro folder and copy the folder to the desktop.
Note: Older versions of XTools are available as well if needed.
- Run _XTools Pro.exe.
Note: ArcGIS 10.0 or later is required to be installed before installing XTools Pro.
- Read and accept the license agreement by checking the checkbox and click "Install".

- After the install has been completed, it will prompt to launch ArcMap.
- When opening ArcMap, a prompt will apear to activate XTools.

- Select "Enter a key".
- Select "Multiline license code generated for computer..."
- Copy the contents from the XTools License.txt file to the license field.
- Once activated, a window should pop up stating that the product was registered successfully.
