Vectorworks - Access in Citrix Desktops

Issue/Question

• How do I access VectorWorks in Citrix Desktops.
• What server do I enter for the login settings?
• I am getting a "can't connect to the server" message in VectorWorks.

Environment

• Oregon State University
• Citrix, Citrix Desktop
• Vectorworks

Cause/Explanation

When opening Vectorworks in Citrix Desktops, the login settings window will have the "Automatically find servers" box checked.  This feature does not work and will result in this error:
 

Resolution

Change Login Settings

1. Uncheck the "Automatically find servers" box
2. Enter "osu-license.oregonstate.edu" into the Server box
3. Select Designer from the drop down menu
4. Click Login
5. Your login settings should look the same as the image below:
