GRRS Reimbursement Systems Virtual Machine Migration (February 2024):

Issue/Question

• On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, UIT migrated the GRRS Reimbursement Systems to a new virtual machine home within its infrastructure. Some users may have bookmarked the old virtual machine. TThese bookmarks will need to be updated.

Explanation

These five GRRS web applications as well as services that back multiple charts on the CORE dashboard were migrated to the new infrastructure to support security releases of the back-end components (Oracle Linux and Tomcat), which brought those into compliance with federal standards. 

Resolution

1. Right click bookmark in bookmarks bar.
2. Select "Edit..."
3. In the window that pops up, look at the link in the URL field, find the port number and delete it and the colon before it.

4. Click save and close the bookmark editing window.
5. Verify the process by clicking the bookmark and successfully connecting to the virtual machine.
