Issue/Question
- When composing a message in Outlook, if the message is left open for a long time it may pop-up one of the following error messages when you later try to edit, send or save it:
- "The function cannot be performed because the message has been changed"
- "The operation failed. The messaging interfaces have returned an unknown error. If the Problem persists, restart Outlook."
- "Cannot save draft because the message is closed."

Cause
The cause of this issue is unknown.
The issue seems to occur more often in cases where a new message has been left open for a long time.
Work-around
There is no resolution to this issue at this time.
The work-around is to copy and paste the contents of the broken message to a new email.
