Cause

Your Personal Meeting Room is a virtual meeting room permanently reserved for you that you can access with your Personal Meeting ID (PMI) or personal link, if applicable. You can start instant on-demand meetings with your PMI, or you can schedule a meeting that uses your PMI.

Your Personal Meeting ID becomes your Personal Meeting URL.

Resolution

Method 1 - Customize your Personal Meeting ID (PMI)

1. Sign in at zoom.oregonstate.edu.
2. Click Profile from the menu on the left.
3. Scroll and click Edit next to Personal Meeting ID.
4. Enter your desired Meeting ID. (Some people prefer to set to their 10-digit desk phone number so it's easy to remember)
5. Check if you want to use your Personal Meeting ID for instant meetings. Read more about instant meetings.
6. Click Save Changes.

Method 2 - Start/Schedule Meeting with your PMI

Start Instant Meeting using your PMI

1. Open Zoom client and click Meetings.
2. Click the downward arrow beside New Meeting and check Use My Personal Meeting ID.
3. Now when you click Start with Video or Start without Video on this computer, it will use your PMI.

Schedule Meeting using your PMI

1. Open Zoom client and click Schedule.
2. Choose your meeting settings.
3. Click the arrow next to Advanced Options
4. Check Use Personal Meeting ID.
5. Click Schedule.
