Kumo - Access Cloud Storage in Citrix Apps and Lab Computers

Cause/Explanation

Campus Labs computers and College of Engineering lab computers have a program called Kumo installed in order to manage cloud file storage. Users need to connect their preferred cloud storage to Kumo in order to access it from lab computers.

Once you have followed the steps below to link Kumo to your cloud storage app, you can access your cloud files through the local file system in Citrix Apps and on lab computers.

Resolution

The example below details adding Box storage to Kumo. The process is similar for other cloud storage such as Google Drive and OneDrive. You can also add a network share to Kumo.

Add Box Cloud Storage to Kumo

Steps:

  1. Navigate to kumo.oregonstate.edu Browser URL bar showing kumo.oregonstate.edu.
  2. Click Log In Arrow pointing to Log In button on Kumo site.
  3. Enter your ONID Username and Password when prompted. 
  4. Log in to Duo if prompted.
  5. Click the upside-down triangle next to the service you would like to add Arrow pointing to dropdown next to OSU Box.
  6. Click Authorize Arrow pointing to Authorize button.
  7. Click Use Single Sign On (SSO) Box login with arrow pointing to "Use Single Sign On"
  8. Type your ONID email address Box login with "username@oregonstate.edu" entered as an example.
  9. Click Authorize Box login with arrow pointing to Authorize.
  10. Click Grant Access to Box Box window with arrow pointing to "Grant access to Box".
  11. Done. You should see a green check mark next to "OSU Box." Kumo window with green check mark next to OSU Box.
