Canvas: Set/edit personal pronouns for your Canvas account

Overview

Canvas is Oregon State University's Learning Management System. Canvas has allowed users to add personal pronouns to their Canvas Profile. Once set, these pronouns will appear in multiple places within Canvas including: comment fields, discussions, Inbox and the People page. To set or change your personal pronouns in Canvas:

1. Log in to Canvas
2. Click the Account button*
3. Click Settings
4. Click the Edit Settings button (right side of the page)
5. Select the pronouns from the drop-down menu
6. Click Update Settings

*The Account button in Canvas is the topmost button in the main Canvas menu bar that runs vertically on the left side of the Canvas page. If your Canvas menu bar was minimized to remove the menu text, the Account button icon is circular with either your initials or your profile picture displayed inside.
