Explanation
Users should be able to update their Zoom app using the following process, https://oregonstate.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1935/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=104671. However, we've received reports of this process not working for some users. This KB article will walk users through un-installing Zoom and installing the latest version.
Note: Some users may require admin rights to install the Zoom application. If this is the case, please contact the Service Desk or your local IT.

Resolution
Step 1 - Uninstall Zoom
- In the Windows search bar, search for Control Panel.
- Click the Control Panel app.
- If Control Panel is set to Category view, click Uninstall a Program.
- Alternatively, if View by is set to Large or Small icons, click Programs and Features.
- Select Zoom in the programs list, then click Uninstall.
- If prompted Are you sure you want to uninstall Zoom?, click Yes.
Step 2 - Download and Install the Latest Version of Zoom
- Visit zoom.us/download using a browser of your choice
- Locate the "Zoom Client for Meetings" section and then click "Download"
- Once the file has downloaded, locate your "Downloads" folder on your computer
- Double-click the recently downloaded file to begin the installation of Zoom
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest version of Zoom.
- Once installed, please sign-in and check for updates again. It should display a "You are up to date" message.
