Cause/Explanation
This Knowledgebase will cover how to add the option for international dial-in phone numbers to a Zoom meeting using the Zoom web interface. You can also do this using the Zoom desktop application and the Zoom Outlook plugin.
Resolution
Method 1 - Scheduling Meeting and Adding International Dial-In
- Sign-in at zoom.oregonstate.edu
- Click the "Schedule a Meeting" button
- On the Schedule a Meeting page, under "Audio" click "Edit"
- From the pop-up window search/scroll to find the country to need to add
- Click the check-box next to the country
- Once you click the box, it will automatically populate onto the right side under "Selected Countries/Regions"
- Click "Save"
- Once you click "Save" the pop-up will disappear and you will be taken back to the schedule page
- Finish configuring your meeting options and click "Save" at the bottom of the page
- Once you click "Save" you will be redirected to the meeting summary page
- Click the "Copy the Invitation" button
- A pop-up window will appear with the country's dial-in numbers. If more than one number is displayed, note that any will work just fine.
- Copy and send the dial-in information to the appropriate participants.
Method 2 - Edit a Scheduled Meeting to Add International Dial-In
- Sign in to zoom.oregonstate.edu and select "Meetings"
- Click "Upcoming Meetings"
- Click the topic/title of the meeting you need to add international dial-in phone numbers to
- After clicking the title, you will be directed to the summary page. Select "Edit this Meeting" from the bottom of the page
- You will be redirected to the meeting setup page, click "Edit" under the "Audio" section
- A pop-up window will appear, search/scroll to find the country you need dial-in phone numbers for and click the check-box next to the country
- The country will auto-populate onto the right side under "Selected Countries/Regions"
- Click "Save"
- The pop-up window will disappear, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save"
- You will be redirected to the meeting summary page, click "Copy the invitation"
- A pop-up window will appear, locate and copy/paste the dial-in numbers and send them to the appropriate participants
Note: If multiple phone numbers display for a country, any/all of them will work. You can send out one of them or all of them.
