Cause/Explanation

As users prepare for the upcoming September 10th passcode requirement, they've asked how they can setup their account early to require passcodes for new meetings. This article will outline how to setup your account to default to the passcode requirement when scheduling new meetings. Additional information on the September 10th Passcode Requirement can be found in the following KB article: https://oregonstate.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1935/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=110959

Resolution

Method 1

  1. Open a browser and log into zoom.oregonstate.edu
  2. Click "Settings" from the menu on the left side of the screen

  3. Enabled the three various passcode settings. Note: A "Modified" and "Reset" label will appear after you've enabled your setting.

  4. Your settings automatically save and you can now close or leave the "settings" page. When you schedule a new meeting the passcode field will be checked by default and a passcode will be randomly generated. You can change the passcode prior to saving your meeting.
