- How do I install Tableau Prep Builder?

Explanation
Tableau Prep is a data cleaning tool that is included with a Tableau license. You can use Tableau Prep to clean, combine and manipulate data sets before analysis or visualization. You are not required to install Tableau Prep to use Tableau Desktop.
After your Tableau license purchase has been finalized, use these instructions to install Tableau Prep Builder.
Resolution
To install Tableau Prep Builder:
- Download the Tableau Prep installer from Tableau Support website at https://www.tableau.com/support/releases/prep

Note: Tableau requires you to have an account on their website to download the install file for Tableau Prep. If you don't have an account fill in the sign up form on the page linked to above and follow the instructions provided by Tableau

- Run the installer. Check the box next to "I have read and accept the terms of the license agreement." Then click the Install button.
- Click the Yes button in the Windows User Account Control Pop-up to allow installer to proceed (applies to Windows platform only).
- Once the installer finishes running, click the Close button in the next screen after the installation is completed.
- Launch the Tableau Prep Builder, you will see the following pop-up, click Activate with a product key.
- In the next screen, enter your product key. Then click the Activate button to finish.
Your Tableau Prep Builder installation is now complete and active.
Note: If you ever need to reactivate your product key (for example, license has expired and then renewed), you can do so by going to the menu Help > Manage Product Keys. A pop-up will appear where you can deactivate your old product key as well as activate a new product key.
